Getting There

By Car: Ravenglass is situated near the A595, which connects Whitehaven and Dalton-in-Furness.

However, there is no direct access from the M6.

Mountain routes are available from Elterwater near Windermere, passing through Hardknott Pass.

Still, they are not suggested due to the steepness and poor condition of the single-track roads, many of which are closed during winter for extended periods.

By Public Transport: Ravenglass is also home to a National Rail station on the Cumbrian Coast Line, which runs between Lancaster and Carlisle.

Daily services are available with regular schedules.

In conclusion, Ravenglass is a charming and picturesque town that offers something for everyone.

From its stunning scenery and rich history to its attractions and dining options, it’s the perfect place to escape and explore.
