Common Questions
Are the tools really free?
Yes — every tool is free, with no account, no sign-up and no app to install. They run entirely in your browser and keep working offline once loaded. If you find them useful, you can also support the site below.
Do they work without a signal?
Yes. The compass and GPS use your phone's built-in sensors rather than the internet, and your waypoints and bagged fells are stored on your own device. Load the pages before you set off and use them anywhere.
Is my data private?
Yes — nothing you do in these tools reaches our servers. Your location, waypoints and progress stay on your device, in your browser.
Can I trust them for navigation?
Treat them as helpful extras, not a substitute for proper preparation. Phone sensors and calculated times are approximate and can be affected by terrain, weather and battery. Always carry an appropriate map and compass, a head torch and the skills to use them.
