2. Through Dodd Wood

From the car park, follow the well-signposted paths for the Dodd Fell summit. There are several waymarked trails, so ensure you take the one heading uphill. The initial part of the walk is a steady ascent through the beautiful, ancient woodland.

3. Reaching the Summit

After about 30-45 minutes of steady walking, you'll emerge from the treeline onto the open fell. The path continues to the summit, which is marked by a memorial stone. This is the perfect place to stop, have a picnic, and soak in the incredible 360-degree views.

4. The Return Journey

When you're ready to head back, simply retrace your steps along the same path back down through the woods to the car park. The descent offers a different perspective of the wonderful woodland scenery.
