Spring (March - May)

Dalemain Marmalade Festival

Keswick Mountain Festival

A fantastic weekend of outdoor adventure, with trail running, open-water swimming, cycling, and hiking events, complemented by live music and inspirational speakers.

Cartmel Races

Summer (June - August)

Great North Swim

When: June 2025

The UK's biggest open-water swimming event held on Windermere. A fantastic spectacle for both participants and spectators.

Kendal Calling

When: Late July / Early August 2025

One of the UK's most popular music festivals, set in the beautiful Lowther Deer Park. It features major international artists alongside comedy, arts, and family activities.

Grasmere Lakeland Sports and Show

When: August 2025

A traditional Cumbrian event featuring fell running, hound trails, and Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling. A fantastic day out steeped in local culture.

Autumn (September - November)

Westmorland County Show

When: September 2025

One of the UK's oldest and largest agricultural shows, celebrating farming, food, and rural life. A must-visit for its livestock displays, craft stalls, and local produce.

Kendal Mountain Festival

When: November 2025

The world's biggest celebration of mountain film, literature, and culture. A must for outdoor enthusiasts, featuring film screenings, high-profile speakers, and art exhibitions.

Winter (December)

Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival

When: Late November / Early December 2025

Step back in time at this magical festival. The historic market town of Ulverston is filled with Victorian costumes, street performers, traditional stalls, and festive cheer.

Keswick Victorian Fayre

When: December 2025

Enjoy a traditional Christmas market with local crafts, food, live music, and festive entertainment for all the family in the heart of Keswick.
