Whitehaven

Whitehaven

As the third largest port in the UK, Whitehaven was once a trade link capital, with links to other trades throughout the world. The town is known as a 'Gem town' due to its Georgian architecture.

The main trade of the town was Coal, with the wealthy Lowther family laying out the Georgian Towns. Natural sculptures finish off the harbour along with a brand new marina - mixing the old 17th century styling with modern technology and contemporary features.
