Cockermouth

Cockermouth

Cockermouth, on the edge of the Lake District, is a handsome Georgian town. Recently tipped as one of Britains "gem towns", the classic town is a no brainer to visit in Cumbria.

The town has a large selection of great shops, including local butters, bakers, ironmongers and so-on. There are also a nice selection of cafes, pubs and quality art and craft galleries.

Surrounding towns include Bassenthwait Lake and Keswick, both easily accessible via local roads.
