Aspatria

Aspatria, pronounced 'Spi-atry' by the locals) is a stunning market town and mining community. As host to one of England's most modern creameries, the town is appropriately be described as 'milk town". Local milk is supplied on a daily basis from the outlying farms.

Heading a few miles west will bring you to the village of Allonby, which offers amazing views of Scotland and the Isle of Man, and is a former fishing village.
