Ennerdale Bridge

Town: Ennerdale Bridge Region: Western Lakes County: Cumbria

Right on the edge of Lake District, Ennerdale Bridge sits in between Croasdale Beck and Riven Ehen. The beautiful waterways flow around the borders of the park, and is never far away from the bridge itself - Ennerdale Water is just a short distance east of the village. Ennerdale Bridge is renowned for its peace and tranquility, due to being one of the less explored areas of the District. Ennerdale Fell Forest offers visitors indulgent long walks through the woodlands, and is only a short distance away from the village itself.

The famous "coast to coast" walk (190 miles walk across the sunning Northern England Rural areas) includes Ennerdale Bridge, with the village sitting in the valley of the Western Fells - a set of hills towering either side of the classic village. Climbers and Walkers will find plenty of opportunities to get out an about in this area and take in the stunning views in the process.
