With the town being located in the Northern area of Cumbria, there is opportunity to head into Scotland and enjoy the popular sights that Southern Scotland has to offer.

If you're looking to visit other areas of the Lake District, the village is perfectly located near Keswick and Ullswater - both of which offer a bustling market town. If you head a little further out, you can enjoy Carlise, which is sweeped with history and heritage include a Cathedral, Castle and famous racecourse. If you prefer some peace and tranquility, you can easily reach Eden Valley and the North Pennines.
