BraithwaiteTo the west of Keswick town is Braithwaite - situated between two brooks which flow to Bassenthwaite Lake and offer an incredible backdrop to this wonderful town.

Braithwaite is just off the A66, and offers plenty of pubs and accommodation in the area. As a popular starting point for exploring regions of the Lake District, the town offers fantastic facilities and local pubs.

If you are a fan of fells, than there are plenty nearby including Barrow and other mountains in the Newlands region, making Braithwaite a firm favourite amongst fans of the great outdoors. A stunning woodland walk can be had in the nearby Whinlatter forest. Those with a more adventurous side can embark on abseiling, orienteering, hand-gliding and water-sports on the nearby Bassenthwaite Lake.

The area is also renowned for spectacular scenery, making it a popular choice amongst nature enthusiasts and photographers.
