Stone Letter Carving 3 Day workshop with Pip Hall

Beginners Stone Carving 3 Day Workshop for anyone with enthusiasm and a little patience.Many of us who have walked in the various corners of Cumbria and some of our cities have noticed the wonderful work produced by this very talented lady poetry pictures and words flow from and are totally at one with the stone in which they are carved her pieces are unique and beautifully reflective in every sense.Please look at her website www.piphall.co.ukThe course is for up to twelve people and runs both in July and again in early October 2009Consisting ofan introductory slide show is followed by demonstrations of lettering styles drawing techniques and methods of carving with chisels followed by individual tuition.Students are welcome to bring their own stone and project. The Course Fee includes use of tools and equipment. Stones are available for a small charge.

On the C2C Cycle route 200 yds north of Greystoke village green direction Blencowe. We welcome all cyclists and walkers and ask all those with cars to walk the 350yds from the village car park around the Greystoke Castle walls.
We can offer parking in our driveway to cycle support vehicles and those attending our workshop days

NotesThe Cycle Cafe is a family-run tea garden with unusual opening times. Fri 12.00 to 18.00. Sat 10.00 to 18.00 and the second Sun of the month 10.00 to 18.00. We will serve any cyclists at other times with whatever we have if of course we are about and available. Seasonal opening only Apr to end Sep.
