Poetry Workshops

We make our own luck when writing that's fro sure. But how do we access that luck and nurture it? How do we find a balance between abandonment to the seduction of language and control of the poem? How much is drawn from our conscious mind and how much from the unconscious? All these areas will be addressed in this workshop through close reading and writing in ways that employ chance luck and the random. Penelope Shuttle has published siz collections of poetry. She has been a judge for the Arvon Poetry Competition the Eric Gregory Awards the Arts Council Awards and the Forward Poetry Prizes. Workshop takes place in the Jerwood Centre.
