Poetry in Grasmere 2010

Fleur Adcock returns to the Lake District with Dragon Talk her first new collection for over a decade. Her new work reflects her preoccupation with family matters and her ambivalent feelings towards her native New Zealand. A rare performance by Roy Fisher marks the publication of Standard Midland to coincide with his 80th birthday. Roy is internationally known for being witty and anarchic and his poem "City" influenced a whole generation. Readings take place in St Oswald's Church Grasmere.
